Mikie Metric's Photo Editing and Manipulation
| Put Your Face or your body in a New Place! |
|
The internet is loaded with digital photo editing sites, programs and services. Several of them allow you to upload your photos, give you the tools and information to make all kinds of improvements and changes to your photo, let you save the result in a variety of formats, and then download the finished product. In addition, there are many photo editing software programs, from Adobe Photo Shop (expensive) to Paint Shop Pro (moderate-priced) to several free programs that will allow you to enhance poor photos, repair damaged photos, and apply manipulations and special effects to your pictures. The digitally manipulated photos on this page have been used for family calendars, greeting cards, personalized bookmarks, postcards and other purposes. The backgrounds are from the hundreds of stock photographs in my collection covering dozens of topics. If you see something you like or if you need my help, write to me at the address at the bottom of this page. Otherwise, just enjoy the pictures. |

A few years ago, I was looking for an idea to use for my own Christmas cards. I came across this picture of Santa relaxing after a hard night on the road. I happened to remember a photo of me goofing around in which my face was at the correct angle to fit into the Santa face. So, I extracted the essential parts of my face, pasted it over the original Santa face, tidied up the edges, and Voila! There I was looking out at my kids and other relatives when they opened their cards that year. | ![]() |

Because of war and
political turmoil in his country, many of the treasured family photos had
been lost or destroyed. This person asked me if I could fix these pictures
and show the brother and sister together, holding hands if
possible. |
In order to make changes like the ones shown above, you will get better results with original photos, either scanned into your computer from real photographs or downloaded from a digital camera. You can, however, use e-mailed pictures (.TIF, .GIF, .JPG, etc.) or pictures from other sources if they have a high-enough resolution. For more information, E-mail us here: picfix@mikiemetric.com
